Your labs came back "normal." So why don't you feel normal?
I help women in midlife find the root causes of fatigue, bloating, weight gain, brain fog and poor sleep by looking at how your gut, thyroid and hormones work together.
Virtual functional medicine consultations for patients across Missouri, including St. Louis and Richmond Heights.

Is This You?
You know something isn't right.
You wake up tired, even after a full night's sleep.
You're bloated most days, no matter what you eat.
You're gaining weight even though you eat well and exercise.
You've been told your thyroid is "fine," but you still feel off.
Your sleep, mood or memory haven't been the same since perimenopause.
You've been told it's "just stress" or "just aging."
You're not imagining it, and you're not broken. Your symptoms are information. Often they point to patterns a standard lab panel isn't designed to catch.
Why Standard Answers Fall Short:
Normal isn't always the same as optimal.
Standard lab work is valuable, and it's designed to catch disease. It isn't always designed to explain why a woman feels exhausted, foggy or uncomfortable in her own body.
A TSH test can look fine while other thyroid markers tell a different story. A basic blood count can miss low iron stores. Fasting glucose can look normal for years before blood sugar problems show up.
My job is to look more closely, connect the dots and explain what's going on in a way that finally makes sense.

I've been where you are.
Years into my career, I got ciguatera poisoning from contaminated fish. It left me with debilitating symptoms that no one could explain. Later came Hashimoto's, a gut that never fully recovered, and then perimenopause. I gained weight, couldn't sleep and couldn't focus. I was eating less and exercising more, and nothing was working.
I had the training, but something was missing. Searching for answers led me to functional medicine. I learned how deeply the gut, thyroid and hormones affect each other, and how often women are told nothing is wrong when something clearly is.
Now I'm post-menopausal and feel strong, clear and energized. I've spent my career helping women get the same clarity I needed back then.
My favorite moment with a client is when she realizes she wasn't imagining it, and that there's a path forward.
What We Look At: Three systems that work together
1)Gut Health
Bloating, reflux, constipation, food sensitivities, or a gut that hasn't been right since an illness or a round of antibiotics. Your gut affects digestion, nutrient absorption, immunity, mood and even blood sugar.
2)Thyroid
Fatigue, feeling cold, hair thinning, weight changes and brain fog. I look beyond TSH to the full picture, including Free T3, Reverse T3 and thyroid antibodies, so we can see how your thyroid is really working.
3)Hormones and Metabolism
Perimenopause, menopause, disrupted sleep, mood changes, afternoon crashes and stubborn weight. We look at hormones, cortisol rhythm, blood sugar and other metabolic markers together, not one at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you work with clients virtually?
Yes. All consultations are held over Zoom, so you can meet with me from home. I currently see clients in Missouri. Educational services are available nationwide.
Do I need recent lab work?
No. If you have recent labs, bring them and I'll review them. If not, we'll decide together which tests make sense.
Do you replace my doctor?
No. I work alongside your primary care provider and specialists. Many clients find it helpful to share their results and plan with their doctor.
Do you take insurance?
No, I am an out of network provider. You may be able to send your receipts to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many functional tests can be paid with HSA or FSA funds.
How long until I notice a difference?
Every woman is different. Many programs run 3 to 4 months because the body needs time to respond. We'll track your progress together along the way.
You don't have to keep guessing.
If you're tired of feeling off and hearing that everything looks normal, let's talk. In 20 minutes, we'll figure out whether I can help and what your next step should be.
